Our world is full of colours which make life more beautiful. But what would it be if each land had only one colour? On one hand, the project shows how different people and their worlds can be and on the other hand – it shows that diversity makes us more interesting. It teaches both sense of autonomy and tolerance at the same time. The project also develops students’ creativity and gives its participants joy and satisfaction.

The project shall continue till May 2014. We have planned 1 or 2 tasks a month: October Let’s get to know each other Ss make a Power Point (or any other) presentation consisting of two parts: the first one is about their country, school town, school (general information) and the second one is about each of them (e.g. name, age, family, favourite school subjects, interests, free time, favourite things and idols – one S=one page). Colour dictionary Each partner school completes a chart to make a multi-language dictionary with names of colours and their pronunciation: the dictionary is to contain all the native languages of the project partners and, of course, English. Then each participant has to choose the colour of their land (each partner has a different tint) and records themselves saying the names of the tint in all the languages in the dictionary. From this moment everything each school is going to do will be connected with the colour. November Set up your country Each school sets up their own fantasy country, so it’s time to choose the country’s name, create its flag and write a short description about their colourland (e.g. how it looks like, what kind of people live there, what they are like, what they do, what their preferences are). The description can be a text, a poem or a song; pictures wanted! December Christmas in our countries Each school prepares as many Christmas cards as there are schools in the project and sends wishes to each partner. Besides, pupils make a picture of a Christmas tree decorated in the colour of their land. Any other creative ideas are welcomed January One-colour dish Pupils make a dish in the colour of their land. All the process of preparing the meal (ingredients, how-to-make instructions, pictures and anything you think is important or interesting here) should be documented and placed in an e-book. In that way we will make a cookbook in the colours of the rainbow! February A fantasy pet of one colour and many abilities Imagine a one-colour pet which can do a lot of things and looks really strange! Draw it, describe its talents and present as a PowerPoint presentation (or any other) to the rest of the participants. March Colours on the catwalk Pupils prepare a fashion show and describe the clothes. It can be presented as a photo session with short descriptions or a film. The crazier ideas - the better! April Back to reality – the colour in our vicinity Each school is to find any objects in the colour of their land in their pencil cases, school, houses, school town etc., take a photo of them, describe and show them to the rest of the world. May Mix the colours - make the world perfect! It’s time to mix all the lands into one perfect world. In order to do it, each school gives a list of three objects typical for their colour. In that way we’ll have a long list of different items in different colours. Next, each team has to draw/paint/… a picture (I think format A0 would be perfect) which contains all the objects. In the image gallery we will have photos of pictures/paintings with the same objects but at the same time totally different. I’m sure all of them will be beautiful, outstanding and unique! Each school taking part in the project gets a monthly schedule to know how to work, what to do and when to perform the results. Mostly, students work in teams. Sometimes the teams have the same task but they have to present the results in a different way chosen at the beginning and sometimes (if the task is more complicated) groups have to deal with different tasks (e.g. one group writes about their country, the other one about their school town or school). hi
